Before after photos breast augmentation with autologous fat

The photos below show patients before and after breast augmentation with autologous fat. The after pictures are usually taken from the third to sixth month after the operation. Before this time, the result is difficult to assess as the entire breast tissue is significantly swollen as a result of the operation. After autologous fat grafting, approx. 50-70% of the transferred fat remains. The volume is correspondingly larger within the first 3-6 months.

Form your own opinion based on these results

For all operations, photos are taken for documentation purposes during the consultation. This is used for planning the operation and for comparison purposes. Aesthetic operations often involve procedures that change the shape of the body. In the case of breast augmentation with autologous fat, the change is clearly visible immediately after the procedure. Patients go through an emotional time here. Initially, there is often some doubt about the purpose and success of the operation, which is often accompanied by a degree of uncertainty. With autologous fat transplantation in particular, women are not looking for maximum artificial volume but rather a natural enlargement. Due to the initial swelling and possible hematoma formation (bruising), the result does not yet correspond to expectations and may even appear somewhat unnatural. As soon as the initial swelling subsides and the hematomas fade, the result can be seen more clearly. This happens in the 3-4 week after the operation. Patients describe this phase as “relief”. As the goal is foreseeable, the start, i.e. the original state before the operation, is often forgotten.

What you can expect after breast augmentation with autologous fat

Patients who opt for breast augmentation with autologous fat want their breasts to be natural and fuller. Of course, the end result plays the biggest role in this. But how exactly will you look in the time leading up to the final result? In the long term, this naturally plays a somewhat subordinate role, but it is important for me to inform you about it.

In the photos selected above, you can see the results approximately 3-4 months after breast augmentation with autologous fat. You can clearly see that the breasts have gained volume but retained their natural shape. Empty areas in the upper pole of the breast or in the cleavage can be selectively filled. If your breast already hangs over the underbust crease before the operation, this will only be slightly corrected by the operation. In extreme cases, a breast lift may be preferable to an augmentation. The photos show a small selection of women with different anatomical starting positions. Of course, every anatomy is unique, but you may find yourself in one or other of the pictures.

But what will you look like shortly after the operation? Immediately after the operation, both breasts will be enormously swollen. Initially, in the first 2-3 weeks, they will appear quite unnatural and somewhat “overfilled”. This condition will subside over time, partly due to temporary water retention in the breast and partly due to the progressive breakdown of fat cells. During this time, we recommend wearing a special bra that keeps the breast in shape but does not exert any pressure. As the healing rate of the injected fat is approx. 50-70%, the breast will lose some volume within the first 3 months. After this time, the volume remains constant. In contrast to breast augmentation with silicone implants, you can expect only punctiform scars of 3 mm in size on the breast. These fade over time and are no longer visible after a few months.
The areas where the fatty tissue is removed will swell considerably, similar to normal liposuction, and form extensive hematomas. Immediately after the operation, you will wear a compression garment. This underwear will significantly reduce the swelling within the first 3-4 weeks after the operation. We also recommend the use of lipomassage or lymphatic drainage with appropriate painkillers.

Once the last swelling has subsided approx. 2-3 months after the operation, the real “joy” about the result of the operation begins. However, this joy is then permanent and is reinforced by the direct comparison of the “before” pictures.
